Oral ketamine was substantially superior to placebo in 41 patients with treatment resistant depression (32% versus 6%).
Oral ketamine significantly lowered depression scores compared to sertraline (an SSRI) in 90 patients with moderate to severe depression (85% versus 58%).
In a study of 40 patients with depression, oral ketamine response rates were 60% versus 15% in placebo.
